Welcome to VAPIANO. It’s wonderful that you have chosen us and are now part of our family. What unites us all over the wor- ld are our vision and values. We want to offer our guests fresh, healthy and superbly tasting dishes every time they visit.
We are proud of our shared successes and place great importance on integrity. As in any community, there are certain rules that apply. We all make sure that these rules are adhered to together. As this is the only way that we can work well together and constantly improve.
WE ARE LAW-ABIDING
We comply with local, national and international laws and regulations. That goes without saying for us. This is the only way we will meet the standards that our guests, employees and partners are entitled to. If somebody breaches the law or our rules we take consistent and immediate action.
WE SUPPORT OUR VALUES
Compliance with Human Rights and Modern Slavery legislation and the protection of minorities are extremely important to us. We do not tolerate any forced or child labour, physical punishment or exploitation of any kind. Everyone has the right to be respected and given equal opportunities. Harassment, bullying or intimidation has no place here.
WE COMMUNICATE OPENLY WITH EACH OTHER
Communication which is clear and consistent is very import- ant. We voice our opinions face to face. We always recognize good work and praise each other. We also encourage open criticism, where it is appropriate: in a 121 meeting – not anonymously and certainly not on the Internet. As we trust each other, nobody needs to be concerned about speaking openly and honestly.

We are one big diverse family here at VAPIANO. We absolutely oppose and do not tolerate discrimination of any kind. Whether you’re a franchise partner or supplier – we have to be able to mutually rely on one another that everyone will adhere to the applicable laws and our rules. And in fact all over the world. That’s also a question of trust.

We take occupational safety and our employees’ health seriously. That’s why we diligently implement all the health and safety laws in the workplace and continuously monitor these.

Our aim is: we want to impress with top quality and fresh products every day. That’s why we handle our products extremely carefully and meticulously and comply with all the product quality and safety rules. We rectify any product defects immediately. We are proud of our freshness promise and our Vapianisti make sure that we can deliver this day in day out.
WE ARE ALL ROLE MODELS
As part of the VAPIANO family we are all role models. Just like any family, VAPIANO only works with rules and everyone supporting one another to adhere to them.
By adhering to the rules, we are contributing to everyone’s full compliance and setting a good example for our colleagues. We are aware that we represent the VAPIANO family at all times and everywhere. That’s why we conduct ourselves according to our values even when we are not at work.
WE HAVE CLEAR RULES FOR RELATIONSHIPS IN THE WORKPLACE
Line managers and employees who report directly in to them are not allowed to have a romantic or sexual relationship with each other or be related. If such relationships were allowed then the boundaries between your private life and work become blurred and issues of performance or confidential may arise. This can lead to emotional decisions that are not good for the company. We have to talk to the Human Resources department about these kinds of relationships if any arise.
WE DO NOT ACCEPT ANY GIFTS
Accepting gifts of any kind is not allowed. This applies, for example, to gift vouchers and similar, but basically to any other kind of gift too.
WE STRICTLY OPPOSE CORRUPTION
Any form of corruption is not allowed. Even contemplating that we might want to “bribe” someone is damaging to VA- PIANO. We therefore make sure that we conduct ourselves correctly at all times and everywhere. Action is resolutely taken against any breaches of Company rules relating to this under labour law.
WE COORDINATE MEDIA ENQUIRIES WITH MARKETING
Together we have to guarantee that everything reported about VAPIANO in the media is correct, without exception. As such we are obligated to keep the media, securities analysts and shareholders accurately and fully informed at all times. It is every single person’s duty to responsibly forward all media enquiries other enquiries from third parties to our Marketing department who will then coordinate a response if appropriate.
WE TREAT INSIDER INFORMATION CONFIDENTALLY
As a listed company, we promote fair, sustainable and equitable trading. This means: insider information may not be used for private purposes or transactions and may not be passed on to anybody. Information about finances, mergers, innovations or changes within the company is strictly confidential.
WE ONLY SPEAK FOR OURSELVES IN SOCIAL MEDIA
We leave communication on behalf of and about VAPIANO to staff responsible for this. If we do post something about VAPIANO we make it clear that this is our private opinion and we only use our own content. The private use of social media sites is not allowed during working hours.
WE DO NOT USE THE INTERNET AND EMAIL SERVICES FOR PRIVATE PURPOSES
We only use email addresses and Internet access at VA- PIANO for business purposes. Private use is not allowed under any circumstances. This specifically includes visiting websites that are subject to charges, displaying sexist, porno- graphic or violent content and installing programs from the Internet or from email attachments.
