Take a trip around Italy with our winter specials

Our specials menu for November and December is full of Italian delicacies. Here you will find dishes that are completed with truffles, calamari, pancetta and chestnuts, all inspired by regional specialties found across Italy, from Sicily to South Tyrol.

Marinated zucchini or crispy calamari in a salad?

In our Sicilian salad – "Zuchini marinate e rucola," we start with a bed of rocket and cherry tomatoes, and add the courgettes which are covered in freshly grated ricotta! Our second special salad – the "Insalata the patate e calamari" is inspired by dishes from Liguria. This salad consists of a potato salad tossed with fried calamari and fresh lemon and basil. To top off both salads we recommend adding our signature balsamic dressing.

Venetian Duck and the best from the forest floor

The idea for our hearty "Pasta con ragù d'anatra e zucca" comes from the Veneto region. The duck is fried with bacon and sage and added to the pasta, which is then crowned with pumpkin cubes – a real, sumptuous winter dish! The "Pasta al Tartufo" also packs strong flavors as the piedmontese pasta is prepared with fresh garlic and truffle cream, then topped with delicate, fresh truffle slices.

Pizza topped with everything your heart desires

Where should we look for a very special pizza recipe, if not Campania, then definitely the region of Naples! Our new "Pizza con Pancetta e mozzarella di buffala" pulls out all of the stops. Cherry tomatoes and buffalo mozzarella meet anchovy fillets - and, of course, pancetta in a true celebration of the treasures of Southern Italy!

Risotto from Lombardy

The "Risotto all'ossobuco" from Lombardy is sure to warm you up when it’s cold outside. Veal shank is served with carrots and blanched with white wine and finished off with Ossobuco sauce – butter, Grana Padano D.O.P. and grated lemon peel, combined to create the most deliciously creamy risotto.

Speaking of creamy, why not try our Chestnut soup! This soup is made with chestnuts cooked in onions and olive oil, and a white wine reduction, all pureed and rounded off with cream. This winter warmer of a soup is ready for you on the coldest days leading up to Christmas, so tuck in with some crispy Ciabatta.

And because we love chestnuts in the autumn and winter, and so many tasty chestnut recipes from South Tyrol to choose from, we have whipped them into a cream to serve with mascarpone in our special winter Dolci. The "Crema di mascarpone castagne" is perfect for completing your meal or on its own with a Cappuccino!

Come in and warm up, you’re sure to find a new favourite winter dish on our specials menu for November and December. All that’s left to say is Buon Appetito!
