The terrace is open – Tanja tests our new summer drinks

Have you sampled the new Vapiano summer drinks yet? From mid-April all the way through to autumn, we’re serving a range of fruity aperitifs and two new homemade lemonades. Balmy summer evenings have never felt as refreshing.

Summer’s not quite here yet but we’re taking advantage of every ray of sunshine until it arrives. And so is blogger Tanja from Fleurrly. She brought a group of friends to Vapiano’s Hackerbrücke restaurant in Munich to soak up the sun and test our brand new summer drinks.

With summer just around the corner, we’re all set for our first girls’ night on Vapiano’s open air terrace. What better way to spend a balmy summer evening than at your favourite Italian restaurant, having a good catch-up while sipping on a refreshing summer drink? As soon as the sun came out, my friends and I headed to Vapiano’s Hackerbrücke location, bagged a spot on the terrace and spent a relaxing evening sampling their new selection of summer drinks

The Drinks

Aperitifs

  • Lillet Wild Berry
  • Strawberry Basil Spritz
  • Rhubarb Strawberry Spritz
  • Tropical Spritz

Homemade lemonades:

  • Raspberry Lemonade
  • Lime Ginger Lemonade

Choices, choices. Pasta, pizza or risotto? My all-time favourite has to be a Pizza Prosciutto e Funghi! But delicious food and sunshine can soon leave you feeling thirsty. Fans of tonic water – like me – will love the sparkling Lime Ginger Lemonade. Another of my friends decided to try the fruity Raspberry Lemonade. Both were deliciously refreshing!

Aperitifs are a staple part of any traditional Italian evening. Time flies when you’re having fun and suddenly you’re toasting hilarious memories from the past and laughing until it hurts! Cheers girls! We ordered a round of the sweet Lillet Wild Berry. A tangy blend of berries and sparkling Schweppes Russian Wild Berry perfectly complements the aromatic Lillet. With a drink in my hand, the warm summer night almost feels like I’m on holiday. The only thing missing is the sound of waves gently lapping the shore. But when I realise how much my giggly girlfriends and I have all enjoyed the evening, the view of Munich’s central station bathed in light feels just as satisfying.
