VAPIANO brings enjoyment to the Channel Aid live in Concert after-show party
- Première in 2018: The restaurant chain and lifestyle brand VAPIANO has been appointed as the official caterer at the first Channel Aid concert
- Enjoyment for a good cause: 60 Vapianisti will be working at this evening's benefit concert after-show party, serving fans, music stars and YouTubers with pasta, pizza, lasagne and salad.
Cologne/Hamburg, 5 January 2018 - The YouTube channel Channel Aid is hosting its first live concert for good causes this evening at the Elbphilharmonie concert hall in Hamburg. The British pop singer Rita Ora is headlining the charity event. YouTube creators from the USA, Italy and Germany will also appear at the Hamburg concert hall. But the concert can also be followed live on the Youtube channel, with clicks generating revenue. Following the three-hour concert, around 1,000 invited guests can look forward to culinary entertainment: VAPIANO will be serving delicious pasta, tasty lasagne, crispy pizza and crunchy fresh salad at the after-show party. Profits from the event will benefit social projects for children, youngsters and the disabled.
"I am proud that we are supporting a good cause with our event catering at the Channel Aid concert, and can be part of this innovative charity format. We absolutely wanted to be there at this première and ensure the culinary well-being of the fans of Rita Ora and the other acts," smiles Jochen Halfmann, CEO of VAPIANO Se, talking about the company's role as official caterer at the concert. For the after-show party in the Fish Auction Hall, VAPIANO has despatched its popular and international concept on a journey from Cologne to Hamburg with a total of eight pasta and pizza stations as well as a flying buffet to provide guests with culinary indulgence following the feast for the ears.
"The fact that the profits will benefit social projects is for me another reason to be proud," continues Halfmann. Specifically, the income from ticket sales and clicks on the YouTube channel will go the FABS Foundation in Hamburg, which supports children, young people and the disabled in Germany, and helps them to get involved in more sports.
Channel Aid has previously donated the profits from upstream promotional videos and collaborations with big YouTubers - including Simon Unge, alias Ungespielt, and the German singer Nicole Cross who has around a million subscribers on YouTube - to this same foundation. This evening, Nicole Cross will perform alongside Rita Ora, as well as the Italian pianist Costantino Carrara and the American singer Max. The musical atmosphere at the after-show party will be created by DJ Jenesis, DJ Ramon and DJ Klement while guests, among them many famous faces such as the model Angelina Kirsch, the TV presenter Nina Bott, bloggers like Simon Unge, hockey Olympic athlete Mo Fürste, Mirja du Mont, Nova Meierhenrich and many more, fortify themselves with pizza and pasta. The chef Cornelia Poletto and daughter Paola will also call in at VAPIANO.
